Edouard MacGuffie, Senior Vice President, Development  

Mr. MacGuffie is principally responsible for identifying land and development assets and developing them. A seasoned renewable energy development professional with approximately 1.2 GW of renewable energy deals since 2003, Mr. MacGuffie has acquired deep renewable energy development experience with leading US based IPPs. He previously served at Vice President, Development at NRG Energy, where he was responsible for identifying and bringing to fore renewable generation and micro-grid opportunities in the Caribbean. He has also previously served as Vice President in charge of Solar Development for Cogentrix Energy,  and Executive Director, Development for NextEra Energy, where he helped to establish the solar development group at each company. Mr. MacGuffie's renewable energy experience includes leading the acquisition of late stage solar and wind development and operational assets; assisting in the financing and re-financing of solar assets; and identifying and initiating international opportunities. Mr. MacGuffie has led greenfield solar development efforts from land acquisition and project proposal formulation, through negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements and solar field supply contracts.

He is also President of Enèji Consulting, LLC where he provides renewable energy and microgrid development consulting services which include formulation of development strategy, management of Greenfield development, performance of acquisition/due diligence efforts, management of project/asset sales activities, and leading negotiations of major project contracts (PSA, PPA and supply agreement).  He is also actively self-developing select projects in the Caribbean basin. Mr. MacGuffie also brings strategy, management consulting and operations experience acquired through his business career at various companies, including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, McKinsey & Company, and Florida Power & Light.  

Ed received a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
